"Even though Yemen suffers from enormous challenges, still, Art is food to our souls." I still vividly can remember Yemeni photographer, Boushra Almutawakel speaking to me during an interview I made with her couple years ago. I was not only compelled to have more appreciation for Art through her words, but also to have more admiration to this amazing lady.
Last week, Almutawakel exhibited some of her photography work at the latest photo fair in Paris, presenting two photo series: one- on the demands of Islamic dress, two- on women's gradual invisibility. You can watch the video report below and read more about Almutawakel here.
