CIA's drone strikes continue to murder people in Yemen. At least 9 people were killed yesterday in Al Baydah province in Yemen after a drone strike was fired. Allegedly, the target victims were alQaeda militants, as US and Yemeni officials say. Human Rights groups and independent journalists have reported extensively that innocent civilians are murdered as well and that even if there were militants who were targeted too, it's utterly an illegal killing by the CIA's drones. Such milliants should have put into fair trials and not be savagely lawfully killed. That's an apparent violation to all the international laws the US is obliged to.

Anti-drones demo in DC

People have staged a demonstration in Washington DC to protest against the United Sates’ use of  drones strikes in Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia, yesterday. 

Yemeni activists, Bushra Almaqtry, Summer Nasser and Rooj Alwazeer co-organized the demo and joined the protesters  who gathered outside the White House as they were chanting slogans and holding signs against drone strikes. 

Yemen Marks the Third Anniversary of al-Majala Massacre by a US' Drone Strike

"On December 17th, 2009, President Obama authorized cruise missile strikes against Yemen, and they smashed into a remote village in Abyan province called al-Majala and killed more than 40 people among them 21 women and 14 children," reported outspoken American journalist, Jeremy Scahill.

He reported further, "when that incident happened, on December 17th, 2009, the Yemeni government took responsibility for those bombings and said that it was a counterterrorism operation, that it had succeeded, that a number of al-Qaeda people were killed. There were even reports that Awlaki himself was killed. Well, it turns out that, in fact, it was a U.S. missile strike, that it was Tomahawk cruise missiles. In fact, we were able to interview people from that village: one woman who lost seven members of her family; another man, 17 members of his family. It was a dirt poor Bedouin village that was hit. There was only one man that anyone in the area could identify as having any connection to al-Qaeda, and it was—he was a mujahideen during the war in Afghanistan, which, of course, the United States was supporting the mujahideen during the mujahideen war in the 1980s. That then kicked off a series of air strikes. The Obama administration began an air war in Yemen. Sometimes the strikes hit the people that were the intended targets, but oftentimes civilians were killed."

Inquiry On USAID Yemen's Promo Clip

Feed them on the ground and bomb them from the sky. That's, seemingly, the US policy towards Yemen. In the following clip, the USAID in cooperation with other institutions depict their work on the ground as rosy as possible. They showed how charitable they are in Yemen. It might seem irrelevant question to ask but "why didn't they mention the CIA's drone strikes committed targeting hundreds of civilians in Yemen in the name of "the war on terrorsim"!!!"

For what's worth, I must say, I have nothing against the "civil society" NGOs in US working in Yemen. My objection is on the US administrations' policies!!
