18 September 2926: The leadership of the National Peace Movement (NPM) held a private virtual meeting with the former UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Mr. Jamal Benomar, in the presence of several members of the NPM’s Board of Trustees and Executive Council. I moderated the session as the NPM's Chair of the media team.
The meeting addressed the latest developments in Yemen alongside relevant regional and international dynamics, while reviewing the role of civil forces and national movements in supporting pathways to peace and a comprehensive political settlement. Mr. Jamal Benomar commended the efforts and civil initiatives of the NPM, emphasizing the critical importance of prioritizing peaceful dialogue and national consensus among all parties to build a lasting peace.
